Emotions

Emotions
Sitting in the darkness, tears rolled down her cheeks. Slowly forming a stain on her jeans. Wiping off her tears she picked up a piece of square paper and folded it into a paper crane. Slowly observing the piece of origami, tears welled up in her eyes once again. Quickly blinking them back she stood up and walked over to her bedside table where a jar stood. Inside the jar were three paper cranes. Opening the lid she threw in this newly folded paper crane and left it there with the other three.

Feeling like the world has crumbled along with the remaining pieces of her heart she picked up a pen and a piece of paper. Settling down near the window where the moonlight shone in she started to write. Slowly, composing a poem that tells her story. The story that has been bottled up in her heart all along. Words spilled out of her and onto the paper. Writing as fast as she could the words slowly fall into their places and the poem was now perfectly composed.

Letting the piece of paper and pen fall to her side, she leaned back against the wall and starred out the window. Looking at the bright stars she felt herself falling deeper into the shadows of the world. Sighing, she pulled her legs close to her chest and curled herself into a ball. Thinking back it wasn't really much but the feelings were not easily erased. She closed her eyes and slowly let the darkness take over.
